Each year Amarillo citizens turn on their star power for the annual LIPS! gala benefiting Opportunity School. The featured attraction of the evening is the LIPS! show, where community members impersonate their favorite stars and lip-sync a variety of musical acts. Solid Gold LIPS! 2011 was a huge success! Thank you to everyone who helped us make LIPS! 2011 a wonderful night for the school. Next year is LIPS! 20th anniversary. Save the date now, Thursday, October 4th.
LIPS! provides an important part of the funding needed to provide classroom instruction, speech therapy, bus transportation, books, art supplies, educational materials and much-needed scholarships for 149 children each year. Thanks to the generosity of our community, last year's LIPS! raised over $100,000, which went directly to benefit our students.
