Opportunity School Turns Up the Disco Fever for LIPS 33

Get ready to break out the bell-bottoms, sequins and dancing shoes. Amarillo’s favorite fall party is turning up the disco fever as Le Freak returns to take the stage at LIPS 2026!

Opportunity School will host its 33rd annual LIPS on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at Arts in the Sunset, bringing back one of the most popular bands in the event’s history for an unforgettable night

of music, food, fun and fundraising.

“Last year, Le Freak absolutely brought the house down, and we knew we had to bring them back,” says Opportunity School Executive Director Jill Goodrich. “The energy was incredible. People danced throughout the night, had a wonderful time and, most importantly, came together in a big way to support Opportunity School. We’re ready to make this year’s LIPS even bigger!”

The 21-and-older celebration will feature an incredible silent auction, open bar, delicious food and a dance floor powered by the high-energy sounds of Le Freak. From Sister Sledge and Diana Ross to David Bowie and Daft Punk, Le Freak delivers a nonstop party that has earned the band its reputation as one of the greatest disco bands in the world.

LIPS has become an Amarillo fall tradition, combining a memorable night out with an opportunity to make a meaningful difference for local children and families. Funds raised through the event support Opportunity School and its mission to provide high-quality early childhood education and help children build a strong foundation for lifelong success.
